Descending along dunes of more than 120 meters on a board similar to that used for snowboarding is an exhilarating experience, with the perfect mix of pleasure and adrenaline, which you can do in the dunes of Valle de la Muerte (Death Valley).
It is a sport to suit everybody, easy to learn, and in which you will have all the liberty to surf the dunes according to your own level of skill. For the lovers of extreme sports this is an opportunity to satisfy their adrenaline crave, with jumps, summersaults or just plain speed.
You can hire the boards in town or take a guided tour. If you decide to do it without a guide, you should take the road towards Calama and 2 km later you will find the deviation towards Death Valley, there you will start to intern yourself into the Salt mountain range until you reach the monumental dunes, which you will have to climb to be able to surf down on your board.
